I am an oil painter based in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Always a creative soul, I have painted on and off since childhood, taking classes at local art schools, from RISD continuing education and more recently studying with local artists: Anthony Tomaselli, David Lussier, Dennis Sheehan, Judy Vilmain, amongst many others throughout the years.
Shortly after graduating from law school in 1994, I decided to stay home and raise my two children, and dabbled with oil painting, faux painting, and decorative painting. When my daughter became involved in theatre, I focused my creative energy on painting sets, designing and sewing costumes for local high schools and semi-professional theaters for 10 years. I left the theater in 2018 to return to oil painting exclusively.
An avid hiker, I enjoy painting scenes from my hikes, the beauty in nature that I see around me and hiking-themed still life paintings.
I have always had a passion for animals and vintage objects so I also enjoy painting animal portraits, animals in their environment, and still life paintings showcasing my curious finds.
